CREATOR OF SNAPCHAT, UBER, INSTAGRAM, AND TWITTER! TIMELESS BLACK EXCELLENCE

Timeless black excellence. Abdias Dalisme. This episode is gonna be about Idris Iddris Sandu he is the creator of the
algorithms for snapchat Instagram uber and Twitter basically a technological
genius let’s get it started Sandu was born in Ghana came to America with
his parents at the age of three he’s raised in Compton Los Angeles California
started programming at the tender age of 10 actually started learning to program
at a library public library and at the age of 10 he met the designer from
Google and he went to offer him an opportunity an internship opportunity at
the company’s headquarters he learned the code when he was just 13 his first
experience with programming is working for projects at Google he was a blogger
there at two years in the working at Google he started designing an app to
help students find their classrooms after school basically giving them
turn-by-turn directions to get into their classrooms that same year he
actually received the presidential scholar award from President Obama. Are you kidding me?
President Obama Sandhu didn’t even go to college his
quote was I can’t afford it being in a minority he said he also doesn’t want to
wait four years I wanted to make an impact now is what he said the age of 18
he was consulting for snapchat then he went to Uber where he created
software called autonomous collision detection interface to help detect the
drivers hand motions and position later on went to work for instagram wrote a
program that would filter key sites or activities by a user’s location to
identify possible interests. Okay check this out Sandu launched a tech smart
store with rapper Nipsey Hussle the smart store, as Sandu refers to it, lets
customers download exclusive music and other digital content via an app
apparently he met rapper Nipsey Hussle at a starbucks and that turned into a
chance encounter that was a collaboration the pair turned an
abandoned shop in los angeles and turned it into the marathon store which sells
clothing accessories and music. He said, and I quote, “The next tech leaders are
going to come from Africa why because they are exposed to problems which they
have the solutions to.” he said in his own words. He went on to say, ‘Information is one
of the highest forms of class and that is what keeps people divided you should
be able to think on a higher level instead of being strictly color
consumers and people of color in particular are more likely to be
consumers than creators it’s really hard to get out of poverty or change the
structure of economic power if you’re always going to be a consumer rather
than creating shifting the narrative is what I’ve been trying to do and this
farts worked it successful.” Is what he told face to face. What he’s been
doing lately he’s been working with rapper Kanye West and Will Smith’s son
Jaden Smith to create augmented reality experiences around music and politics
for the tech festival complex con next year in Chicago. All the information used
