Festival of Carols at Walt Disney Concert Hall

♫ It’s the most wonderful time of the year ♫ There’ll be much mistletoeing ♫ And hearts will be glowing
when loved ones are near ♫ It’s the most wonderful time of the year – The vocalists are marvelous, the piano’s terrific,
the conductor’s funny, it’s terrbly enjoyable, 100%. ♫ Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la la-la-la – It was my first Holiday
Kickoff this year, and it was really nice
to hear all the classics and new songs I didn’t know about. Hearing some of my favorites like White Christmas, that
was really beautiful, and they did a really good job, and it just made me
really happy to be here. ♫ Of a White Christmas ♫ Just like the ones I used to know – We Wish You a Merry Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Time of
the Year, White Christmas. I love all of those. ♫ Treetops glisten, and children listen It’s fun to hear them from the seats, in this fabulous hall. The acoustics are wonderful. ♫ Jingle bells, jingle all the way ♫ Oh what fun it is to ride
in a one-horse open sleigh – We look forward to coming
every year with our family, and it’s just a nice way
to start off the season. We love the concert hall,
and the organ especially. We love hearing them unleash it with Hark the Herald Angels Sing. ♫ One-horse open sleigh (applause) ♫ Good tidings we bring
to you and your kin ♫ We wish you a Merry Christmas ♫ and a Happy New Year ♫ And we won’t go until we get some ♫ We won’t go until we get some ♫ And we won’t go until we get some – I would definitely come back next year. I want to make this an annual thing. I think it’s a really great event to bring your friends and family, and it’s just a really good
way to start your season. ♫ We wish you a Merry Christmas ♫ And a Happy New Year (applause)

  1. The LA Master Chorale was founded by the late Roger Wagner, and is his great gift to those of us who were "brought up" listening to the wonderful recordings and concerts of the Roger Wagner Chorale. This is a larger group of choristers (RWC had I think just 24 members–including Salli Terri and Harv Presnell), with around 100 members. Still, they keep that wonderful, reverent, and intimate quality of the RWC. Nice to see a bit of one of their concerts on Youtube.
