Perkins students at the 2015 Perkins Possibilities Gala

Jamie- Now first of all, stay calm, you’re not seeing double. We are twins.
Jonah- While we look alike, we don’t really use the term identical,
but we’re not fraternal. Anyway, however it’s true that we have
a lot of things in common, we’re both seventeen, and we actually
definitely call Perkins home. Jamie- We both are DJs on Radio Perkins.
My show [both laugh] My show is called TBD.
Jonah- What’s that stand for? Jamie- To Be Determined, we never found a name for it. [laughs] Jonah- Well my show is called “This is Now”.
Jamie- What does that stand for? Jonah- It stands for “This is Now”.
Jamie- What is that?
Jonah- It stands for “This is Now”. [both laugh] And we both love music and we are
in the Perkins chorus. [singing] Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now I’m found. Was blind but now I see.
[crowd applause] Jamie- Things weren’t always great though. We both got bullied a lot in public school,
and relied on each other in those difficult times. But, Jonah- Perkins rocks. Here we have lots of friends and
tons of equipment and resources. Amen. We learn so much from living with
students who share our situations. Jamie- Some day I hope to be an actor
or a minister. Jonah- I hope to be a musician, but my
backup plan is to be a writer, I’ve actually written a few novels.
Jamie- In print? Jonah- No, braille.
Jamie- I can see it all now. But right now, our job
is to introduce the boss!
Don’t get to excited, it’s not Bruce Springsteen.
